Trails are open!

Trails are open after Thursday night snow...  but snow is light and fluffy .. not groomable ...  run wide to pack the snow, but 'stay between the stakes'.  Ride carefully and watch for blowdown branches from Wednesday's strong winds ..  also there is ice under this fluff but some of the waterholes only have a thin layer of ice ...  ride and enjoy but do it wisely.

February poker run rescheduled

Our February Poker Run is now scheduled for February 18 (Saturday) instead of February 25. The host is Benny Baxter of Boonville Hotel.

Poker Run 1/13 Canceled

We are canceling the January 13-14 Poker Run due to (what else?) the lack of snow.  Long term weather doesn't sound too conducive to sled riding.  We apologize to all who usually join us in this fund raiser but sometimes things are taken out of hands.  Hopefully we will see you at the February 25the Run.

Trail C8C re-route

To avoid a dangerous area, a landowner offered a major re-route. To this end we had to 'build a bridge' to avoid a wet area.  Being built on December 13 by club members, with telephone poles (we had these), with hemlock decking (we had to purchase this - expensive) and the necessities to hold it all together.  An unexpected expense, but improves the safety of that area immensely.  Since this is a major re-route, please watch the signs in the area between Port Leyden and Hells Kitchen Road.

Trail Updates - C4E To Open Again

Landowner permission has once again been received to open this trail again on a yearly basis.  Use of it depends on how sledders treat the landowners property - new signs will be posted. There will be no sled/hunting on this trail or any other trail maintained by the Lost Trail Club.
