Lost Trail Club adds new groomer
Groomer Number 3 arrived at the Groomer Barn Tuesday, February 16. This makes No. 3 which is a great addition to the club's ability to groom trails more efficiently and quickly.
Lost Trail has 48 miles of major and secondary trails in Oneida County and 18 miles of trail in Lewis County. This is a newly reconditioned 2003 Pisten Bully Edge purchased from Mohawk Ltd in Saquoit, the local Pisten Bully dealer. A brand new Mogul Master Drag to be used with this Pisten Bully was delivered 3 weeks prior. The new equipment is costing the Club a little over $100,000.00.
On hand to receive delivery of this new piece of equipment was John Pfeiffer, a Director of the Lost Trail Club who has the responsibility over Groomer Operators. Anyone wishing to be a groomer operator must spend several hours getting acclimated with a seasoned driver, and although not mandatory yet, should attend a Groomer Operator Driving Course presented by the state organization, NYSSA.
